Admissions Policy

Immaculate Heart of Mary School admits students of any gender, race, color, national and ethnic origin and does not discriminate in the administration of its education policies, admission policies, tuition assistance programs and other school administered programs.

Factors in the admissions process include submission of the application packet by the due date, previous academic performance, scores on standardized tests, conduct and effort grades, student evaluation, as well as results of the placement screening given by IHM teachers.

Priority of Acceptance

1.  All currently enrolled students who have re-registered by the expressed due date
2.  Siblings of currently enrolled students
3.  Children of IHM parishioners
4.  Children of IHM alumni
5.  Applicants from other Catholic parishes
6.  Applicants from other religious affiliations

Admission Guidelines

Immaculate Heart of Mary School follows Georgia state law for beginning age requirements for school entrance. Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by September 1, 2012. First Grade applicants must be 6 years old by September 1, 2012.

Each applicant will be required to take a placement screening prior to final acceptance.   A testing date will be scheduled upon receipt of your application and fee.
