IHM Kindergarten Curriculum
Kindergarten is a year of experiences that help the child interact with peers, respect the rights of others, and accept authority outside the home. These experiences lay the foundation for academic success not only this year, but every school year that follows. In Kindergarten, teachers will help the child develop social and emotional attitudes necessary for a positive self-image. Students learn to share, play fair, and accept responsibility. They learn to adapt to the complex demands of the school community and adjust to a new role—student. Kindergarten stretches the mind of the child. This is a year of wanting to know; it is a time to discover that learning is exciting, stimulating and fulfilling. It is also a year to learn to live with others and follow the Golden Rule.

IHM Middle School Curriculum
IHM Middle School strives to provide a unique educational setting for early adolescents. We believe that a good middle school creates a balanced, positive transition from the elementary years to high school. In order to accomplish this goal, we have designed specific activities to meet the social, physical, intellectual, and emotional needs of our students in grades 6-8. Some of these include an Advisor/Advisee Program, a Student/Faculty Advisory Board, student-led parent conferences, a Middle School Handbook helping students be accountable for their behavior and academic progress, overnight retreats, and interdisciplinary hands-on learning activities.
